What can I do to make this better?

My son is 15 days old and I bottle feed him. He is eating the gerber goodstart and it seems like after I give him a few ounces and I burp him it seems like he still has it in his throat. Then when I lay him in his crib it seems like he cant breath cause it sounds like his formula is still in his throat. He breaths fine but it concerns me cause I don't want him to be uncomfortable in any way. What can I do to make that sound of his formula being in his throat go away? Any advice or personal experience from anyone would be great. I just want my son to be as comfortable as possible.
