How to get my breastfed baby to stop using me as a pacifier?

We were told by the lactation specialist at the hospital to not introduce pacifiers to her until she was about 1 month old to ovoid nipple confusion. We have tried using the soothie and gerber pacifiers and she spits them out with a "yucky taste" look on her face. So she's only happy attached to my breast not just sucking but will lay there with it in her mouth very contently. It makes it very difficult to get anything done when I constantly have to hold her to keep her from getting fussy. Please give me any advise!
