How often do Gerber Daisies need watering?

We have a pot outside with 2 gerber daisy plants in it, and it's sitting on this little shelf thing in one corner of our gazebo, so where it is, it doesn't get a lot of sun, so I'm wondering, how often do you think it would need to be watered? Because I'm not sure, I watered it a couple days ago, and I water it about every few days because I don't want to water it everyday just in case I would be overwatering it.
